Stephanie Kelton

Stephanie A. Kelton, born on October 10, 1969, is a prominent American economist and academic known for her advocacy of modern monetary theory. As a leading voice in her field, she has made significant contributions to economic thought and policy, particularly during her tenure as an advisor to Bernie Sanders's 2016 presidential campaign and her role with the Senate Budget Committee.

Currently, Kelton serves as a professor at Stony Brook University and holds the position of senior fellow at the Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis at the New School for Social Research. Her academic journey includes a previous professorship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where she further developed her expertise in economics.
