Stephen Toope

Stephen Toope, born on February fourteenth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished Canadian legal scholar and academic administrator. With a profound expertise in human rights, public international law, and international relations, he has made significant contributions to the field of academia.

In November twenty twenty-two, Toope was appointed as the fifth president and CEO of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR), a role that underscores his commitment to advancing scholarly research and innovation in Canada.
