Steve Bégin

Steve Bégin, born on June fourteenth, nineteen seventy-eight, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player who made his mark as a centre in the National Hockey League (NHL) over the course of thirteen seasons. His journey began when he was selected in the second round of the nineteen ninety-six NHL entry draft by the Calgary Flames, where he was the fortieth overall pick.

Throughout his NHL career, Bégin showcased his skills with several teams, including the Flames, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, and Nashville Predators. His career was not without challenges; after enduring a full season sidelined due to injury, he made a commendable comeback by rejoining the Flames for the 2012-2013 season, only to face another injury that ultimately led to his retirement.

Before his professional career, Bégin honed his talents in junior hockey with the Val-d'Or Foreurs, contributing to their victory in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) championship in nineteen ninety-eight.
