Morison began his professional journey at Northampton Town, making his first-team debut in 2002. He later moved to Bishop's Stortford in November 2004, before joining Stevenage Borough in August 2006. After retiring from professional play at Shrewsbury Town in October 2019, Morison transitioned into coaching, obtaining qualifications and working with Northampton Town's under-18 team. He later joined Cardiff City as the under-23 coach, briefly serving as caretaker manager before being appointed first-team manager in November 2021, a role he held until September 2022. In June 2023, he took the helm at Hornchurch and subsequently became the manager of Sutton United in January 2024, leaving that position in September 2025.
