Steven Caulker

Steven Caulker, born on December twenty-ninth, nineteen ninety-one, is a former professional footballer who made his mark as a centre-back. Currently, he serves as the assistant manager at Konyaspor, showcasing his transition from player to coach. Originally hailing from England, Caulker proudly represented and captained the Sierra Leone national team, highlighting his dual heritage and commitment to international football.

Caulker's professional journey began with Tottenham Hotspur in two thousand nine, where he spent the initial years of his career on loan at various clubs, including Yeovil Town, Bristol City, and Swansea City. It was at Swansea that he made his Premier League debut and later represented Great Britain at the two thousand twelve Olympics. His impressive performances earned him a call-up to the England national team, where he made a memorable scoring debut in a friendly against Sweden in November two thousand twelve.

In the two thousand thirteen to fourteen season, Caulker joined Cardiff City, but despite his efforts, the team faced relegation from the Premier League. He then moved to Queens Park Rangers, who also experienced relegation during his tenure. Following this, he had loan spells with Southampton and Liverpool, before a brief stint at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership. In January two thousand nineteen, he signed with Turkish Süper Lig team Alanyaspor, where he enjoyed a successful period.

After his time at Alanyaspor, Caulker signed with the prestigious Turkish club Fenerbahçe, although he spent the season on loan at Gaziantep without making an appearance for Fenerbahçe. His career then took him back to England with Wigan Athletic, but he departed amid financial issues at the club. Caulker also had a short-lived role as player-manager at Spanish side FC Málaga City, which ended due to complications with his work visa.
