Subhash Kak

Subhash Kak, born on March twenty-six, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished Indian-American mathematician and computer scientist, renowned for his contributions across various fields including cryptography, philosophy, and ancient astronomy. Currently, he serves as the Regents Professor at the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Oklahoma State University–Stillwater, and holds the position of honorary visiting professor of engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

In addition to his academic roles, Kak is a member of the Indian Prime Minister's Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). His scholarly work encompasses a wide range of topics, particularly focusing on the history and philosophy of science, as well as the history of mathematics. He has also delved into archaeoastronomy and has been a proponent of the Indigenous Aryans theory.

Despite his extensive research, many of Kak's theories have faced significant criticism and rejection from the academic community. His writings have sparked considerable debate, particularly regarding his interpretations of historical narratives. Nevertheless, his contributions to science and education have been recognized, culminating in the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Government of India in two thousand nineteen, honoring his impact on Indian society.
