Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Sulejman Tihić

Sulejman Tihić, born on November twenty-six, nineteen fifty-one, in Bosanski Šamac, was a prominent Bosnian politician whose career spanned several critical decades in the region's history. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo in nineteen seventy-five, after which he embarked on a career as a judge, prosecutor, and lawyer. His legal expertise would later inform his political endeavors, particularly during the tumultuous years of the Bosnian War from nineteen ninety-two to nineteen ninety-five, when he was captured and tortured by Serb soldiers in concentration camps.

Following the war, Tihić transitioned into politics, becoming a founding member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA). In two thousand one, he was elected as the party's president, a role he held until his passing in two thousand fourteen. His political career reached a significant milestone when he was elected as the fourth Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in two thousand two, serving until two thousand six. His tenure was marked by a commitment to interethnic dialogue and compromise, reflecting his moderate and conciliatory approach to governance.

In two thousand seven, after his presidency term, Tihić continued to serve as a member of the national House of Peoples until his death. He played a pivotal role in constitutional reform negotiations, including the Prud Agreement and the government formation from two thousand ten to two thousand twelve. Tihić's contributions to Bosnian politics were characterized by his dedication to fostering peace and stability in a post-war society.

After battling health issues, including cancer, Sulejman Tihić passed away on September twenty-fifth, two thousand fourteen, in Sarajevo at the age of sixty-two. He was laid to rest in his hometown of Bosanski Šamac two days later, leaving behind a legacy of political moderation and a commitment to fostering interethnic understanding.
