Sultan Rahi

Sultan Rahi, born on June twenty-four, nineteen thirty-eight, was a prominent figure in the Pakistani film industry, celebrated for his multifaceted talents as an actor, producer, screenwriter, director, singer, and stunt performer. Over a remarkable career that spanned four decades, he became a leading icon of Punjabi cinema, earning the nickname Pakistan's 'Clint Eastwood' due to his impactful performances.

Rahi's cinematic journey began with the Urdu film 'Baghi' in nineteen fifty-six, where he made his debut at the age of eighteen. This film marked a significant milestone as it was the first Pakistani movie to be screened in China. Throughout his illustrious career, he appeared in approximately seven hundred and three Punjabi films and one hundred Urdu films, garnering around one hundred sixty awards for his outstanding contributions to the industry.

Among his notable works, Rahi is best remembered for his collaboration with actress Anjuman, with whom he starred in several successful films. His last film with her, 'Khoon da Hisab,' was released in nineteen ninety-five. Rahi's portrayal of the iconic character Maula Jatt in 'Wehshi Jatt' in nineteen seventy-five earned him his third Nigar Award, and he reprised this legendary role in the sequel 'Maula Jatt' in nineteen seventy-nine, which remains his most recognized film.
