Sun Simiao

Sun Simiao, born in the year five hundred eighty-one, was a distinguished physician, calligrapher, poet, and philosopher during the Sui and Tang dynasties. Hailing from Tongchuan in central Shaanxi, he is revered as one of the most influential figures in the history of Chinese medicine.

Known as China's King of Medicine (藥王; 药王, Yaowang), Sun Simiao dedicated his life to the advancement of medical practices and the well-being of his patients. His profound understanding of medicine and compassionate approach earned him a lasting legacy that continues to inspire practitioners today.
