Surena

Surena, born in the year eighty-four before Christ, was a distinguished military officer and the prominent leader of the House of Suren. His legacy is most notably marked by his remarkable victory against the Romans at the Battle of Carrhae, a pivotal conflict during the first century BC.

Under Surena's strategic command, the Parthian forces achieved a decisive triumph over a numerically superior Roman invasion led by Marcus Licinius Crassus. This battle is often regarded as one of the earliest and most significant confrontations between the Roman and Parthian empires, and it stands out as one of the most crushing defeats in Roman military history.
