Susan Anton

Susan Anton, an accomplished American actress and singer, first captured the spotlight with her debut film, Goldengirl, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. This recognition led to a contract with NBC, where she showcased her talents in the variety show Presenting Susan Anton. Her career continued to flourish as she joined ABC for the drama series Cliffhangers, further establishing her presence in the entertainment industry.

On Broadway, Anton has left an indelible mark with her performances in notable productions such as Tommy Tune's The Will Rogers Follies and David Rabe's Hurlyburly, directed by the legendary Mike Nichols. She also took on the role of Velma Von Tussle in the Las Vegas production of Hairspray, directed by Jack O’Brien and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, and reprised this role at the Hollywood Bowl. Her extensive stage work includes a national tour of All Shook Up and a remarkable seven-year stint in The Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular alongside The Rockettes, under the direction of Joe Layton.

In addition to her theatrical achievements, Anton has collaborated with iconic entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Tom Jones. She toured with Kenny Rogers and enjoyed a top ten country hit with the song Killing Time. Her international success is highlighted by the Gold record Foxy, showcasing her versatility as an artist.

For over two decades, Anton has made Las Vegas her home, where she resides with her husband, director Jeff Lester. Together, they founded Big Picture Studios in nineteen ninety-seven, through which Anton has executive produced various projects, including The Last Real Cowboys featuring Billy Bob Thornton and the documentary Speed of Life, which highlights the inspiring story of Amy Purdy.
