Susan Meiselas

Susan Meiselas, born on June twenty-first, nineteen forty-eight, is a distinguished American documentary photographer and photojournalist. She has been a vital part of Magnum Photos since nineteen seventy-six, becoming a full member in nineteen eighty. Currently, she serves as the President of the Magnum Foundation, where she continues to influence the world of photography.

Meiselas is renowned for her evocative photographs capturing the turmoil of war-torn Nicaragua in the nineteen seventies, as well as her striking images of American carnival strippers. Her work has graced the pages of prestigious publications such as The New York Times, The Times, Time, GEO, and Paris Match, showcasing her ability to tell compelling stories through her lens.
