Susan Sloan

Susan Estelle Sloan, born on April 5, 1958, is a distinguished former Canadian swimmer who made her mark in the world of competitive swimming. Known for her exceptional talent, she later adopted the name Susan Kelsey after marriage.

At the 1976 Summer Olympics held in Montreal, Sloan showcased her skills by swimming the butterfly leg for the Canadian team in the women's 4x100-metre medley relay. Her performance contributed to the team's success, earning them a bronze medal and solidifying her place in Olympic history.

In addition to her Olympic achievement, Sloan continued to excel on the international stage. At the 1978 World Championships in Berlin, she and her fellow Canadian swimmers clinched another bronze medal in the 4x100-metre freestyle relay, further demonstrating her prowess in the pool.

In recognition of her contributions to sports, Sloan was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in two thousand fourteen, celebrating her legacy and inspiring future generations of athletes.
