Sushmita Banerjee

Sushmita Banerjee, born in 1964, was a remarkable writer whose life story transcended the boundaries of literature and film. On the evening of September fourth or in the early morning hours of September fifth, two thousand thirteen, she was attacked outside her home in Paktika Province, Afghanistan. This brutal act was attributed to suspected Taliban jihadists, highlighting the ongoing dangers faced by those who challenge oppressive regimes.
