Suzan DelBene

Suzan DelBene, born on February seventeenth, nineteen sixty-two, is a prominent American politician and business executive. Since two thousand twelve, she has proudly served as the United States representative for Washington's 1st congressional district, showcasing her commitment to public service and leadership.

Before her current role, DelBene was the Democratic nominee for U.S. representative in Washington's 8th congressional district in two thousand ten, where she faced a narrow defeat against the incumbent Republican, Dave Reichert. However, her perseverance paid off in two thousand twelve when she won the general election in the newly redrawn 1st district, defeating Republican John Koster. This victory also included winning the election for the remainder of the term in the 1st district under the previous boundaries, a seat that became available following Jay Inslee's resignation.

In addition to her legislative duties, DelBene holds the esteemed position of chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and has previously served as the chair of the New Democrat Coalition.
