Suzanne Côté

Suzanne Côté, born on September twenty-first, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished jurist and lawyer who currently serves as a puisne justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Her appointment to this esteemed position came after a nomination by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, marking a significant milestone in her career as she succeeded retiring Justice Louis LeBel.

Before ascending to the Supreme Court, Côté was a prominent partner at two prestigious law firms: Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and Stikeman Elliott LLP, both located in Montréal.
