Susan Jane "Suzie" McNeil, born on October fifteenth, nineteen seventy-six, is a talented Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter. She first captured the public's attention as a contestant on the reality show Rock Star: INXS in two thousand five, which marked the beginning of her musical journey. Following this exposure, McNeil released her debut album, Broken & Beautiful, on April tenth, two thousand seven. The album featured the powerful single "Believe," which was later re-recorded with the National Arts Centre Orchestra to support Canada's Own the Podium campaign, serving as the official anthem for the Canadian team during the two thousand ten Winter Olympics.
In addition to her early successes, McNeil showcased her talent at the halftime show of the ninety-sixth Grey Cup, performing alongside notable acts such as Theory of a Deadman and Andrée Watters. Her second studio album, Rock-n-Roller, released in two thousand eight, included the hit single "Supergirl," a cover of the popular song by Saving Jane. This track further solidified her presence in the music industry.
In two thousand eleven, McNeil signed with the Canadian label 604 Records, where she experienced mainstream success with singles like "Drama Queen" and "Merry Go Round." These tracks paved the way for her third studio album, Dear Love, which was released on August seventh, two thousand twelve.
After taking a two-year hiatus from her solo career in two thousand fourteen, McNeil joined forces with Elisha Hoffman, Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Marti Frederiksen to form the country rock quartet Loving Mary. The group released an EP in two thousand fifteen and has reportedly written enough material for a full-length album, which is anticipated to follow soon.
