Suzy Batkovic

Suzy Batkovic, born on December seventeenth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Australian professional basketball player and politician. Her basketball journey began at the Port Hunter Basketball Club in Newcastle, where she honed her skills before making her mark on the international stage.

Throughout her career, Suzy has played for several prestigious European clubs, including Valenciennes in France, Ros Casares in Spain, UMMC Ekaterinburg in Russia, and Cras Basket in Italy. In the United States, she was selected as a first-round draft pick in two thousand three and played for the Seattle Storm, showcasing her talent in the WNBA.

Domestically, Suzy has had a remarkable career with various Australian teams, including the Australian Institute of Sport from nineteen ninety-six to nineteen ninety-nine, the Sydney Uni Flames from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand one and again from two thousand nine to two thousand ten, the Townsville Fire in two thousand one to two thousand two, the Canberra Capitals in two thousand ten to two thousand eleven, and the Adelaide Lightning from two thousand eleven to two thousand thirteen. She returned to the Fire for the two thousand thirteen to fourteen season.

As a member of the Australia women's national basketball team, Suzy made her debut in nineteen ninety-nine and has since contributed to the team's success, winning silver medals at the two thousand four and two thousand eight Summer Olympics, as well as a bronze medal at the two thousand twelve Summer Olympics.
