Svetozar Marović

Svetozar Marović, born on March thirty-first, nineteen fifty-five, is a prominent Montenegrin lawyer and politician. He notably served as the last head of state and head of government of Serbia and Montenegro from two thousand three until Montenegro's declaration of independence in two thousand six. In December two thousand fifteen, Marović was arrested in Montenegro on charges of corruption, which led to a series of legal troubles. By August two thousand seventeen, his family's assets were frozen, and he fled to Serbia just before being found guilty.
