Swin Cash

Swin Cash, born on September 22, 1979, is a celebrated American former professional basketball player whose impact on the game is profound. A standout at the University of Connecticut, she played a pivotal role in leading the UConn Huskies to national championships in 2000 and 2002, showcasing her skills as a prolific scorer and rebounder.

Drafted second overall in the 2002 WNBA draft by the Detroit Shock, Cash quickly made her mark in the league. She was instrumental in securing championships for the Shock in 2003 and 2006, and later added a third title with the Seattle Storm in 2010. Over her fifteen-year career, she also played for the Chicago Sky and New York Liberty before retiring in 2016.

Her accolades include being named a WNBA All-Star four times and winning the All-Star Game MVP award twice, underscoring her status as one of the league's elite players. Beyond her playing career, Cash transitioned into broadcasting as a studio analyst for MSG Networks in 2015, covering the New York Knicks, and took on a leadership role as the director of franchise development for the New York Liberty in 2017.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to basketball, Cash was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on September 9, 2022. She is one of only eleven women to have achieved the remarkable feat of winning an Olympic gold medal, an NCAA Championship, a FIBA World Cup, and a WNBA Championship.
