SWV

SWV, an iconic American R&B vocal trio hailing from New York City, was formed in 1988. Initially starting as a gospel group, the trio quickly transitioned into the mainstream music scene, establishing themselves as one of the most successful R&B acts of the 1990s.

The group consists of three talented members: Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, Tamara "Taj" George, and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons. Their harmonious blend of voices and captivating performances led to a string of hits that defined the era, including the Billboard Hot 100 number-one single "Weak" and other top-ten favorites like "Right Here (Human Nature Remix)", "I'm So into You", and "You're the One".

Despite their immense success, SWV disbanded in 1998 to explore individual solo careers. However, the passion for music and their loyal fanbase brought them back together in 2005, allowing them to continue their legacy in the R&B genre.
