Sydney Leroux

Sydney Leroux, born on May seventh, nineteen ninety, is a prominent professional soccer player who currently plays as a forward for Angel City FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). A dual citizen, she was born in Canada to a Canadian mother, Sandi Leroux, and an American father, Ray Chadwick. Sydney's soccer journey began in Canada, where she represented her country at various youth levels before making a pivotal decision to join the United States women's national under-20 soccer team in two thousand eight, and later the senior national team in two thousand twelve.

Throughout her illustrious career, Leroux has earned over seventy-five caps with the U.S. senior national team, contributing to the team's remarkable successes, including gold at the two thousand twelve London Olympics and victory at the two thousand fifteen Women's World Cup. Her collegiate career was spent with the UCLA Bruins women's soccer team, where she honed her skills before stepping into the semi-professional arena with the Vancouver Whitecaps, making her debut at the tender age of fifteen, thus becoming the youngest player to ever play for the team.

In the two thousand twelve WPS Draft, Leroux was selected as the number one pick by the Atlanta Beat on January thirteenth. However, following the league's suspension later that year, she showcased her talent with the Seattle Sounders Women during the summer. The following year marked her professional debut in the NWSL with the Boston Breakers during the league's inaugural season. Leroux's career continued to flourish as she was traded to Seattle Reign FC in two thousand fourteen, then to Western New York Flash for the two thousand fifteen season, and finally to FC Kansas City before the two thousand sixteen season.
