Syed Kamall, born on February fifteenth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished British politician and academic. He held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for a brief period in September to October twenty twenty-two. Prior to this role, he served as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Innovation at the Department of Health and Social Care from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-two.

In addition to his political career, Kamall is a Professor of Politics and International Relations at St Mary's University in Twickenham. He also plays a significant role as the academic and research director at the Institute of Economic Affairs, a prominent classical liberal think tank located in London.

Kamall's political journey began as a Member of the European Parliament for the Conservative Party, a position he held from two thousand five to two thousand nineteen. During his tenure, he was actively involved in the International Trade and Economic and Monetary Affairs Committees. His leadership skills were recognized when he served as the Leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament from twenty thirteen to twenty fourteen, and subsequently as the Leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists from June twenty fourteen until his departure in twenty nineteen.

In December twenty twenty, Kamall was honored with a nomination by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to become a Life Peer, a title he officially received on January twenty-eighth, twenty twenty-one.
