Sylvie Goulard

Sylvie Goulard, born on December sixth, nineteen sixty-four, is a prominent French politician and civil servant. A native of Marseille, she has made significant contributions to both national and European politics throughout her career. Goulard served as the Deputy Governor of the Banque de France from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-two, showcasing her expertise in economic matters.

Her political journey includes a brief tenure as Minister of the Armed Forces from May seventeenth to June twenty-first, two thousand seventeen, under the First Philippe government. Goulard's influence extended to the European Parliament, where she represented West France from two thousand nine until two thousand fourteen, and was reelected for South-East France in the two thousand fourteen elections.

During her time as a Member of the European Parliament, Goulard was actively involved in various committees, including the Committee for Economic and Monetary Affairs, where she served as an ALDE group coordinator.
