Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu, born on August 1, 1987, is a prominent Indian actress known for her versatile performances across Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. She began her career in modeling before making her acting debut in the 2010 Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam, followed by her first Tamil film, Aadukalam, in 2011. Pannu's entry into Hindi cinema came with the comedy Chashme Baddoor in 2013, directed by David Dhawan, which marked the beginning of her rise in the film industry.

Over the years, Taapsee has garnered critical acclaim and commercial success with notable films such as the spy thriller Baby in 2015 and the courtroom drama Pink in 2016. Her performances in these films not only showcased her acting prowess but also earned her significant recognition in Hindi cinema. She continued to build her reputation with impactful roles in The Ghazi Attack, Mulk, Manmarziyaan, Badla, and Mission Mangal, each contributing to her status as a leading actress.

In 2019, Pannu's portrayal of sharpshooter Prakashi Tomar in the biopic Saand Ki Aankh earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Her role in Thappad, where she navigates the complexities of divorce, won her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. More recently, she starred in streaming hits like Haseen Dillruba and its sequel, as well as Rashmi Rocket and Looop Lapeta. Her latest project, the comedy-drama Dunki, released in 2023, became her highest-grossing film to date.

Beyond her acting career, Taapsee is an entrepreneur, co-owning The Wedding Factory, an event management company, and the badminton franchise Pune 7 Aces, which competes in the Premier Badminton League. She is married to former badminton player Mathias Boe, balancing her professional and personal life with grace.
