Daniel Seon Woong Lee, known by his stage name Tablo, was born on July 22, 1980. He is a multifaceted artist, recognized as a rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Tablo is best known as the leader of the acclaimed South Korean hip-hop group Epik High, which he co-founded in 2001 alongside DJ Tukutz and Mithra Jin. Under his guidance, the group has released ten full-length albums and one EP, showcasing his talent as a producer and co-writer for all their songs.
Before embarking on his music career, Tablo demonstrated his literary prowess by graduating with honors in English literature and creative writing from Stanford University. His journey into the music industry began while he was still in high school, where he worked as a lyricist. This early start laid the foundation for his future success in the competitive world of music.
In addition to his work with Epik High, Tablo has made significant contributions as a record producer and songwriter for various artists. After eleven years, he stepped away from his radio show, MBC FM4U's Tablo's Dreaming Radio, in two thousand sixteen to focus on his music label, Highgrnd, which has nurtured bands like Hyukoh and The Black Skirts.
