Tadj ol-Molouk

Tadj ol-Molouk, born on March seventeenth, nineteen ninety-six, was a prominent figure in Iranian history as the Queen of Iran and the second wife of Reza Shah, the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty. Her title, which translates to 'Crown of the Kings' in Persian, reflects her significant status in the royal hierarchy.

As the first queen in Iran to engage in public royal representation after the Muslim conquest in the seventh century, Tadj ol-Molouk broke traditional barriers. Her involvement in public life marked a pivotal shift in the role of women in Iranian society during a time of considerable change.

One of her most notable contributions was her active participation in the kashf-e hijab, the ban on the veil, implemented in nineteen thirty-six. This initiative was a crucial step towards modernizing Iranian society and promoting women's rights, showcasing her commitment to progressive reforms.
