Lee Tae-min, known mononymously as Taemin, was born on July 18, 1993, in South Korea. He is a multifaceted artist, recognized as a singer, dancer, actor, and choreographer. Taemin first captured the public's attention as a member of the iconic boy band Shinee, which debuted in May 2008 under SM Entertainment. His influence in the industry has earned him the title of the 'Idol's Idol,' as many fellow idols cite him as a source of inspiration.
In 2014, Taemin embarked on a solo career with the release of his first extended play, Ace, which topped the South Korean Gaon Album Chart. The lead single, 'Danger,' also achieved significant success, reaching number five on the Gaon Digital Chart. His first studio album, Press It, released in 2016, continued this trend, further establishing his presence as a solo artist.
Taemin's artistic journey expanded internationally when he made his solo debut in Japan in July 2016 with the EP Sayonara Hitori.
