Kim Tae-yeon, known mononymously as Taeyeon, was born on March 9, 1989, in South Korea. She rose to fame as a member of the iconic girl group Girls' Generation, which debuted in August 2007. The group quickly became one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and gained international recognition as a leading force in the K-pop genre. Taeyeon's contributions extend beyond the group, as she has participated in various SM Entertainment projects, including Girls' Generation-TTS, SM the Ballad, Girls' Generation-Oh!GG, and the supergroup Got the Beat.
In 2015, Taeyeon launched her solo career with the release of her debut extended play, I, which featured a titular single that topped South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.
