Taeyong

Lee Tae-yong, known mononymously as Taeyong, was born on July 1, 1995, in South Korea. He has established himself as a multifaceted artist, excelling as a rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, and model. Taeyong is best recognized as the leader of the boy band NCT, which is managed by SM Entertainment. His journey in the music industry began with his debut in 2016 as a member of NCT U, the group's first sub-unit.

Later that same year, Taeyong took on the role of leader for NCT 127, another sub-unit of NCT. His influence and talent further expanded when he became a member of SuperM in 2019, a supergroup formed through a collaboration between SM Entertainment and Capitol Records. This project showcased his versatility and solidified his status in the global music scene.

As a prolific songwriter, Taeyong has contributed to the creation of over seventy songs in four different languages, primarily for NCT's various units and his solo endeavors. His dedication to his craft culminated in his official solo debut in June 2023 with the EP titled Shalala, marking a significant milestone as he became the first solo artist from NCT.
