Tan Wee Kiong

Tan Wee Kiong, born on May twenty-first, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished Malaysian badminton player renowned for his exceptional skills in the doubles event. His career took a significant turn when he partnered with Goh V Shem during the 2014 Thomas Cup, marking the beginning of a formidable collaboration.

Together, Tan and Goh achieved remarkable success, clinching the gold medal in both the men's doubles and mixed team events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Their prowess was further demonstrated when they secured a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games, solidifying their status as elite competitors in the sport.

The duo made history during their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where they won the silver medal. This achievement was particularly noteworthy as they became the first Malaysian pair to reach such heights since nineteen ninety-six.
