Tanner Glass

Tanner Glass, born on November twenty-ninth, nineteen eighty-three, is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada, renowned for his physical style of play. He played as a winger in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams, including the Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, and Calgary Flames. During the NHL Lockout in two thousand twelve, he showcased his skills with HC '05 Banská Bystrica in the Slovak Extraliga and also had a stint with Boxers de Bordeaux in the French Ligue Magnus.

Glass began his hockey journey in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), where he played for two seasons with the Penticton Panthers and Nanaimo Clippers, earning All-Star Team honors in two thousand three. He then advanced to the collegiate level, joining the Dartmouth Big Green for four seasons, where he contributed to two third-place finishes in the ECAC Hockey Conference and served as team captain during his senior year.

Selected two hundred sixty-fifth overall by the Florida Panthers in the two thousand three NHL Entry Draft, Glass turned professional in two thousand seven with the Rochester Americans, the Panthers' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. Over the next two seasons, he balanced his time between the NHL and AHL before signing with the Vancouver Canucks as an unrestricted free agent in July two thousand nine. He solidified his role as a fourth-line forward and played a pivotal part in the Canucks' journey to the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, where they faced the Boston Bruins.

In July two thousand eleven, Glass transitioned to the Winnipeg Jets via free agency, and the following year, he signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. After his contract with the Penguins expired, he continued his career with the New York Rangers. Following his retirement from active play in June two thousand nineteen, Glass took on the role of Assistant Director of Player Development for the Rangers, marking a new chapter in his hockey career.
