Tanya Dangalakova

Tanya Dangalakova, born on June 30, 1964, is a celebrated former breaststroke swimmer hailing from Bulgaria. Her remarkable career is highlighted by her outstanding performance at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, where she clinched the gold medal in the 100 meter breaststroke, marking a pinnacle in her athletic journey.

In addition to her Olympic success, Dangalakova made waves at the 1985 European Aquatics Championships. There, she showcased her exceptional talent by winning the 200 meter breaststroke, thwarting East Germany's attempt to dominate all women's events for the third consecutive European Championships.
