Tariq Aziz, born on April 28, 1936, was a prominent Iraqi politician and journalist who played a significant role in the Ba'athist regime. Serving as the Deputy Prime Minister from 1979 until the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003, he was also the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1983 to 1991.
