Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Tariq Ramadan

Tariq Ramadan, born on August twenty-six, nineteen sixty-two, is a prominent Swiss-born Egyptian Muslim academic, theologian, and philosopher. He has made significant contributions to contemporary Islamic studies, holding esteemed positions such as professor at St Antony's College, Oxford, and the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. Additionally, he served as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar and was the former director of the Research Centre of Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) in Doha.

As the grandson of Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Ramadan has been influential in discussions surrounding Islam, Muslim identity in Europe, and reformist thought. He identifies himself as a 'Salafi reformist' and has engaged in extensive writing and lecturing on these topics.

However, Ramadan's career has been marred by serious legal issues. He was convicted of multiple counts of rape and sexual coercion in Switzerland and France. In twenty twenty-four, a Swiss appeals court upheld a conviction related to a two thousand eight incident in Geneva, which was finalized in twenty twenty-five after his appeal was rejected. In March twenty twenty-six, he faced a Paris criminal court ruling that convicted him of raping three women, resulting in an eighteen-year prison sentence, which is currently under appeal.
