Tatiana Kashirina

Tatiana Kashirina, born on January 24, 1991, is a prominent Russian weightlifter renowned for her exceptional achievements in the sport. Competing primarily in the +90 kg and +75 kg categories until 2018, she transitioned to the +87 kg category following the International Weightlifting Federation's reorganization of weight classes.

Throughout her illustrious career, Kashirina has earned the title of Olympic silver medalist and has been crowned World Champion five times. Additionally, she has claimed the European Champion title on eight occasions, showcasing her dominance in weightlifting on both continental and global stages.

However, her career faced significant challenges when, on September 9, 2023, the Court of Arbitration for Sport annulled over four years of her competitive results due to doping violations. This ruling disqualified all her results from April 1, 2013, to June 19, 2017, leading to the forfeiture of her titles, awards, and any associated financial rewards.
