Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Tatiana Volosozhar

Tatiana Volosozhar, born on May 22, 1986, is a distinguished figure skater who has made a significant mark in the world of pair skating. Originally from Ukraine, she later represented Russia, showcasing her exceptional talent alongside partner Maxim Trankov. Together, they achieved remarkable success, becoming the two-time Olympic champions in both pairs and team events in 2014.

Volosozhar's illustrious career includes being crowned the World champion in 2013 and securing the title of European champion four times between 2012 and 2016. Their partnership also led them to victory at the 2012 Grand Prix Final and three Russian national championships in 2011, 2013, and 2016. Notably, they have won six events on the Grand Prix series, solidifying their status as one of the top pairs in figure skating history.

Before her partnership with Trankov, Volosozhar competed for Ukraine, first with Petr Kharchenko from 2000 to 2004 and later with Stanislav Morozov from 2004 to 2010. During this time, she and Morozov became four-time Ukrainian national champions and achieved a commendable fourth place at the World Championships.

In December 2010, Volosozhar was granted expedited Russian citizenship, a decision influenced by her Russian heritage through her parents. She and Trankov are celebrated for setting historic World records in the short program prior to the scoring changes in the 2018-19 season, and they made history as the first figure skaters to win two gold medals at the same Olympics.
