Taylor Josephine Stephanie Luciow, known professionally as Taylor Mitchell, was a talented Canadian country folk singer and songwriter born on August 27, 1990, in Toronto. She made a significant impact on the music scene with her debut and only studio album, For Your Consideration, released in 2009. In the summer of 2009, Mitchell's career was on the rise as she performed at various venues, including a memorable appearance at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Tragically, Taylor Mitchell's promising life was cut short when she was attacked by two eastern coyotes while walking along the Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. At the young age of nineteen, she succumbed to her injuries and blood loss, marking her death as the only known fatal coyote attack on an adult in Canada. This shocking incident prompted experts to reevaluate the risks posed by coyotes to humans, highlighting the unpredictable nature of wildlife.
