Ted Hargreaves

Ted Hargreaves, born on November fourth, nineteen forty-three, is a distinguished figure in the world of ice hockey, known for his contributions as a player, coach, and educator. His journey began in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, where he honed his skills in minor hockey and played for the senior Foam Lake Flyers. His talent soon led him to the junior ranks with the Melville Millionaires, setting the stage for a remarkable career.

Hargreaves achieved international recognition as a member of the Canadian men's hockey team that secured a bronze medal at the nineteen sixty-eight Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. This achievement not only highlighted his skills on the ice but also his dedication to the sport.

Professionally, he played for the Winnipeg Jets in the World Hockey Association, showcasing his abilities at a high level. After his playing days, he transitioned to coaching and teaching, finishing his career in Nelson, British Columbia. There, he played and coached the Nelson Maple Leafs in the Western International Hockey League, while also being instrumental in developing local hockey programs.
