Teddy Sinclair, born on August fifteenth, nineteen eighty-six, is a multifaceted English actress, singer, and songwriter. Known for her dynamic artistry, she has recorded music under various aliases, most notably as Natalia Kills and Verbalicious. Currently, she leads the band Cruel Youth, which also releases music under the name the Powder Room.
Sinclair's career took off when she signed a triple joint venture recording contract with will.i.am Music Group, KonLive Distribution, and Cherrytree Records to launch her debut album, Perfectionist, in two thousand eleven. The album featured the moderately successful singles 'Mirrors' and 'Free,' both of which received gold certification from the BVMI. That same year, she collaborated with the American EDM duo LMFAO on the hit single 'Champagne Showers,' marking her most successful recording to date.
Although Perfectionist did not achieve significant commercial success, its follow-up album, Trouble, released in two thousand thirteen, performed slightly better in the United States. In two thousand fifteen, Sinclair adopted the first name Teddy and formed her own band, Cruel Youth, the following year, releasing the extended play +30mg in two thousand sixteen.
Beyond her own music, Sinclair has made her mark as a songwriter, penning tracks for notable artists such as Angel Haze, Madonna, and Rihanna. Her songwriting prowess earned her a Grammy Award nomination in two thousand seventeen for co-writing Rihanna's single 'Kiss It Better.' In March two thousand fifteen, Sinclair and her husband, Willy Moon, faced controversy when they were dismissed as co-judges from New Zealand's X Factor due to their harsh comments towards a contestant.
