Terrence Prendergast, born on February nineteenth, nineteen forty-four, is a distinguished Canadian member of the Society of Jesus and a prominent figure within the Roman Catholic Church. His journey in the clergy has seen him serve in various significant roles, including as the Archbishop Emeritus of Ottawa-Cornwall.
Before his appointment to Ottawa-Cornwall, Prendergast held the position of auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Toronto and later became the Archbishop of Halifax. His leadership was further recognized on May sixth, two thousand twenty, when Pope Francis merged the Archdiocese of Ottawa with the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall, appointing Prendergast as the archbishop of the newly established Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall.
