Terry Butler

Terry Butler, born on November 10, 1967, is a prominent American bassist and musician known for his powerful performances in the death metal scene. Currently, he showcases his talents with the bands Obituary and Inhuman Condition, continuing to make a significant impact in the genre.

Throughout his illustrious career, Butler has been a vital member of several influential bands, including Six Feet Under, Massacre, and the legendary Death. His contributions to these groups have solidified his reputation as a skilled guitarist and bassist, earning him respect among peers and fans alike.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Terry is a devoted family man. He is married and has three children, and he shares a close bond with his brother-in-law, Greg Gall, who was also a member of Six Feet Under. Tragically, on May 7, 2019, Butler faced a heartbreaking loss when his daughter, Jona Wright, passed away in a car accident. The incident also left his two grandsons, aged six and ten at the time, with minor injuries.
