Terry O'Malley

Terrence M. "Terry" O'Malley, born on October 21, 1940, in Toronto, Ontario, is a distinguished Canadian retired ice hockey player and a dedicated citizenship judge. His remarkable career in ice hockey is highlighted by his participation in three Winter Olympics, where he proudly represented Canada in 1964, 1968, and 1980. O'Malley's most notable achievement came in 1968 when he contributed to the team's success, earning a bronze medal.

Beyond his Olympic endeavors, O'Malley has made significant contributions to the sport as a long-time coach for various bantam and midget hockey teams at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. His coaching career has been marked by a commitment to developing young talent and fostering a love for the game.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to ice hockey, O'Malley was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998. This honor reflects not only his skills on the ice but also his impact on the sport as a mentor and leader.

Currently, O'Malley serves as an assistant coach for the Regina Cougars women's ice hockey team at the University of Regina, a role he has embraced since 2006. His passion for the game continues to inspire the next generation of athletes.
