His journey began in nineteen ninety-two when he was hired as a monster designer for Final Fantasy V. His talent quickly led him to collaborate with Yoshitaka Amano as a secondary character designer for Final Fantasy VI, released in nineteen ninety-four.
Nomura's breakthrough came with Final Fantasy VII in nineteen ninety-seven, where he not only contributed to the original story alongside Hironobu Sakaguchi but also made his mark as the lead character designer.
