Thando Hopa is a trailblazing South African model, activist, entrepreneur, and lawyer, renowned for her groundbreaking achievements in the fashion industry. She made history as the first individual with albinism to grace the cover of Vogue, a significant milestone that has inspired many and challenged societal norms.

Beyond her modeling career, Hopa is deeply committed to promoting African culture and heritage through her initiatives. She founded the African Fashion Legacy Project, which aims to celebrate and preserve the rich history of African fashion, textiles, and weaving practices. Additionally, she established Thando Hopa Media, a company dedicated to enhancing diverse representation across various media platforms.

As a passionate advocate for individuals with albinism, Hopa serves as a founding delegate of the Global Albinism Alliance and holds the position of Vice Chairperson for the African Albinism Network.
