The D.O.C.

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of The D.O.C.

Tracy Lynn Curry, born on June 10, 1968, is widely recognized by his stage name, the D.O.C. He is an influential American rapper, songwriter, and record producer who has made significant contributions to the hip hop genre. His career began with the Southern hip hop group Fila Fresh Crew, but he soon transitioned into a successful solo artist, collaborating with notable figures in the industry.

One of the highlights of the D.O.C.'s career was his partnership with the iconic gangsta rap group N.W.A and Eazy-E. He played a pivotal role in co-writing tracks for the group and worked closely with renowned producer Dr. Dre. The D.O.C. co-wrote Dre's groundbreaking debut album, The Chronic, while Dre produced Curry's own first solo album, No One Can Do It Better, released in nineteen eighty-nine under Eazy-E's Ruthless Records in collaboration with Atlantic Records.

In 1991, the D.O.C. co-founded Death Row Records alongside Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, and Dick Griffey, a label that would go on to sign legendary artists such as Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. His debut solo album achieved remarkable success, peaking at number twenty on the Billboard 200 and featuring two chart-topping hits on the Hot Rap Songs chart: "It's Funky Enough" and "The D.O.C. & The Doctor." However, his career faced a significant challenge following a severe car accident that altered his voice permanently.

Despite this setback, the D.O.C. continued to create music, releasing two more albums: Helter Skelter in nineteen ninety-six and Deuce in two thousand three. His contributions to the music industry were recognized at the sixty-sixth Annual Grammy Awards, where he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award alongside his N.W.A. peers, including Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella.
