Thiago Pereira, born on January twenty-sixth, nineteen eighty-six, is a retired Brazilian international competition swimmer renowned for his remarkable achievements in the sport. Hailing from Belo Horizonte, Pereira is celebrated as one of Brazil's greatest swimmers, having made a significant mark in the swimming world by winning a silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, notably finishing ahead of the legendary Michael Phelps.

Throughout his illustrious career, Pereira showcased his exceptional talent by breaking the world record in the short course 200-meter individual medley and setting numerous South American and Brazilian records.
