Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva, born on September 22, 1984, is a distinguished Brazilian professional footballer renowned for his exceptional skills as a centre-back. Currently playing for Primeira Liga club Porto, Silva is widely regarded as one of the finest defenders of his generation, celebrated for his defensive prowess, discipline, and leadership on the field.

Silva's football journey began in 2002 when he started his senior career as a midfielder with RS Futebol. His transition to a defensive role occurred during his time at Juventude, leading to a significant move to Porto in 2004 at the young age of nineteen. However, his career faced a serious challenge when he was loaned to Dynamo Moscow and suffered a near-fatal bout of tuberculosis.
