Thomas Collins (cardinal)

Thomas Collins, born on January sixteenth, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished Canadian cardinal of the Catholic Church. His ecclesiastical journey has seen him serve in various significant roles, showcasing his dedication to the faith and community.

From two thousand seven until two thousand twenty-three, Collins held the esteemed position of Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the archdiocese. Prior to this, he was the Bishop of Saint Paul in Alberta from nineteen ninety-seven to nineteen ninety-nine, and subsequently served as the Archbishop of Edmonton from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand six.

His contributions to the Church were recognized when Pope Benedict XVI elevated him to the rank of Cardinal on February eighteenth, two thousand twelve. This honor reflects his commitment and service to the Catholic community in Canada and beyond.
