Thomas Dolby

Thomas Morgan Robertson, widely recognized by his stage name Thomas Dolby, is an influential English musician, record producer, composer, entrepreneur, and educator, born on October 14, 1958. He gained fame in the 1980s with chart-topping hits such as 'She Blinded Me with Science' in nineteen eighty-two and 'Hyperactive!' in nineteen eighty-four, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the music industry.

In addition to his success as a recording artist, Dolby has made significant contributions as a producer and session musician. His innovative spirit led him to venture into the tech world in the 1990s, where he founded Beatnik, a Silicon Valley software company. Beatnik's technology played a crucial role in the evolution of internet audio and ringtones, particularly on Nokia phones.

Dolby's career has also included notable roles in education and public speaking. He served as the music director for TED Conferences, sharing his insights and expertise with a global audience.
